Thomas Nye, born on May 14, 1996, in Columbus, Ohio, is a dedicated military professional and educator. After graduating from Grove City High School in May 2015, he enlisted in the United States Army, embarking on a distinguished career in the Military Police Corps.
In August 2015, Thomas began his training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, completing One Station Unit Training to become a Military Police Officer. Upon graduation on February 25, 2016, he was assigned to the 557th Military Police Company at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. In February 2017, he transferred to the 561st Military Police Company at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he participated in Operation Atlantic Resolve. In August 2019, he joined the 163rd Military Police Detachment as a member of the Special Reaction Team. In September 2020, he was stationed with the 58th Military Police Company at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Currently, Thomas serves as a Military Science Instructor at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
In addition to his military service, Thomas has pursued higher education. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice in May 2018 and is expected to complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in October 2025.
His military education includes the Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Special Reaction Team Training, Air Assault, Jungle Operations Training Course, Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor Course, and Anti-Terrorism Officer Course.
