Erika Pritchard joined the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2021 as a digital content creator, bringing her expertise in photography to elevate 体育菠菜大平台’s marketing and media initiatives. Pritchard is responsible for leading photography efforts for 体育菠菜大平台 Athletics and other university events, managing all aspects of planning, shooting, editing and archiving. She also contributes to social media, digital and print publications with multimedia content and supports video production and media relations.
A native of Pleasanton, Pritchard earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Chadron State College in 2004, a master’s degree in organizational leadership from College of Saint Mary in 2010, and an associate of applied science in commercial photography from Metropolitan Community College in 2015.
Before joining 体育菠菜大平台, Pritchard spent five years at the Kearney Hub as a regional editor and image editor, where her work earned numerous awards, including photo of the year from the Nebraska Press Association in 2019 and 2020. She was also recognized as second runner-up in the Nebraska Press Women 2021 Sweepstakes competition. Prior to her journalism career, she spent a decade in higher education, serving in roles such as coordinator of leadership development at Nebraska Methodist College, admissions counselor at College of Saint Mary and admissions coordinator at Chadron State College.
Beyond her role at 体育菠菜大平台, Pritchard does freelance photography work for the Kearney Visitor’s Bureau.
